Inhalt
|
|
Multimedia has become one of the buzzwords
for many information systems. As that, it is often attached
as an interesting attribute to systems and products. This
hides that the area of 'Multimedia Systems' is also an
actual, fast developing research field where various
research disciplines contribute. The purpose of the lecture
is to illustrate the characteristics of and the
possibilities provided by multimedia systems, and to show
their application areas. A major part of the lecture will
be the study of aspects of distributed multimedia systems
which cover important research and application areas. The
discussion of the requirements demanded by multimedia
systems towards computer systems and the approaches to
handle these requirements is an important part of the
lecture.

Wichtige Hinweise
|
Wegen des automatisierten Übungsbetriebes
ist auch eine Anmeldung von Belegern der Präsenzuniversitäten
in ULI notwendig. Die Sprache der Vorlesung ist Englisch.
Nach erfolgreicher Prüfungsteilnahme wird ein benotetes
Zertifikat ausgestellt. Die Anrechnung dieser Prüfung müssen
die Studierenden bei ihrem zuständigen Prüfungsamt
klären. |
